[Paparazzi-devel] PAPARAZZI new hobbyist

I am an hobbyist looking for some kind of automation/control of the model I
am building. (with a 3D printer I have built myself)

Even if I have some skills in computer science and mechanical design ,
unfortunately, I am just discovering the paparazzi solution which looks
like complex.

As a result if any Paparazzi expert living in FRANCE is interested by
sharing some time and skills with a naïve paparazzi beginner I shall be very
glad to open a discussion with you.

Best regards

PS : I hope this EMAIL address is the right entry point to exchange with the
Paparazzi community. Please let know if I am wrong

Hello,

Welcome to Paparazzi. This is indeed one of the entry point. In case,
you can also use the Gitter chat: https://gitter.im/paparazzi/discuss

Paparazzi is indeed a bit complex, it was mostly made for academics in
the beginning, so it lacks a bit user-friendly interface. Depending of
what you are looking for (especially advanced autonomous flight) it can
be very powerful. If you only want to stabilize a frame for manual
flights, other solutions might be better and cheaper (Betaflight for
instance).

Where are you in France ? Paparazzi have been initiated at ENAC at
Toulouse, so their are some developers (including myself) in this region.

Best regards

Gautier

Thank you for the answer …

I am living in the at MASSY closed to PARIS south .

For sure I need to evaluate the Paparazzi solution before any decision.

I am currently designing the plane frame (that’s the fun) but I need also
to choice a full control and/or stabilization flight solution.

Best regards
